What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
All the people I have loved are philosophy major types, yet I can’t actually stand philosophy. I think I love passion and crazy ideas and the ability to challenge the usual trains of thought in an intelligent way.
Creatively, writing in a really loud bar.
What do you most dislike?
People who live in the past, mean people, people who do things that aren’t fair, people who make dumb choices and then complain about them, people who don’t take action to change things that make them unhappy. So, um. People. People are the worst.
Who are your favorite characters in history?
I have always been ridiculously attached to the Romanovs and the disappearing Anastasia, Ever since I read about them in a Danielle Steel novel when I was 14. I learn all my history from fiction.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Real Estate Developer (circa 5 years ago)
What blog do you most enjoy reading?
Lately, Finslippy and Fussy. And Flotsam. I like the letter F.

What is the best thing about BlogHer events?
This is my first BlogHer. I would say I am nervous but I have sworn to settle down about it. I am, though. I am very excited to meet some writers I deeply admire and learn some new blogging tricks that perhaps I can teach my old, old blog (are blogs like dogs?).
What do you most fear about attending BlogHer ’09?
That the people I most admire will not actually want to be my new best friends. Also, that I will be struck mute during my panel. Or that someone will say mean things to my face.
How would you like to die?
Instantaneously, the second my husband does, at a very old age.
