What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
My writing. Sometimes I get so caught up in my writing that I am emotionally drained when I finish. I always feel like that about a good piece of work.
What do you most dislike?
Days that are so hot that you feel like your face is melting off.
Who are your favorite characters in history?
My grandmother, she was in a concentration camp and was only kept alive because she knew three languages. She later taught at the Defense Language Institute. If anyone really wants to know about history or meet an amazing character, they should meet my grandmother. What a life she has led!

What is the best thing about BlogHer events?
I am not sure since I have never been but I would have to say that it would be me attending after this year.
What do you most fear about attending BlogHer ’09?
Not finding anyone that I know or having to hang out by myself. I would get way too drunk that way.
How would you like to die?
I would like to die of natural causes at the age of 148 while holding the hand of my husband who died at the exact same time.
On our wedding day, I gave my husband something that said, “If you live to be 100, I would want to live to be 100 less one day so I would never have to live a day without you.” I still mean more than 10 years later.
