Shannon’s got it (a lot!) going on
Mother, blogger, web designer, and loves everything that is internet. This best describes Shannon Entin who is a busy homeschooling mother, blogger, and web designer. Shannon started to design websites back in 1995, along with being the founder of FitnessLink.com a fitness magazine online. After selling FitnessLink.com in 2000, she took a few years off. She stepped into blogging as a way to keep in touch with family and friends out of town. She wanted to keep them up-to-date with her children as they were growing. Shannon has always enjoyed writing, and found she really enjoyed blogging as well.
Shannon has started a number of different blogs. She said ‘Some have taken off, while others have fallen by the wayside’. This is a rather simple task since Shannon owns her own hosting system along with many domain website names. Her current project, GamingAndLearning.com, is with her 10 year old son, together they are working on a game blog. Shannon’s son will be helping to review the different games, and they will be sharing how children can play the games all while learning.
Another project that Shannon is involved with is writing her own blog called PHAT Mommy, which is where she shares her experience in parenting, homeschooling and some technology. She designs custom websites, and she enjoys that outlet for herself.
Shannon is also involved as the digital bliss editor for the Blissfully Domestic website, which is made up of many women who are all very busy with family and careers. If all of that’s not enough she has designed, and writes for a blog called Mothers Against Government Intervention and Control. She’s co-founder of Present Professor Blog, and occasionally guest blogs on New Jersey Moms Blog. She also can be found twitter communicating with her many followers, along with many other social media.
Shannon’s best advice to other busy moms is to make a routine, and do your best to stick to it. She has found life moves along smoother, and her productivity is higher the more she can do this. Shannon feels she does not balance her life very well, but she must be doing something right. She balances so many different projects, and still gives care to her children that she home schools along with her husband.
